On Thursday, November 24, 2016, the traditional ceremony of the "Pro-Merito" awards took place at the Seibersdorf campus.

The award recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of radiation protection. Many members of the Austrian emergency and rescue organisations, fire brigades, police and the armed forces devote this important topic with a lot of personal commitment.

This award was established by Seibersdorf Labor GmbH together with its partners, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of the Interior, Austrian Red Cross, Austrian Fire Brigades and Austrian Association for Radiation Protection. The “Pro Merito” honors remarkable achievements in the area of radiation protection.
