On Thursday, November 29, 2018, the traditional ceremony of the "Pro-Merito" awards took place at the Seibersdorf campus.

The award recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of radiation protection. Many members of the Austrian emergency and rescue organisations, fire brigades, police and the armed forces devote this important topic with a lot of personal commitment.

The “Pro Merito” award was established by Seibersdorf Labor GmbH together with its partners, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of the Interior, Austrian Red Cross, Austrian Fire Brigades and Austrian Association for Radiation Protection.

In 2018 there were 29 bronze awards, 23 silver awards and 2 gold awards, in addition 4 achievement badges in gold and one badge of honour in silver.
