On Wednesday, 19 October 2016, the 2016 General Assembly of the Austrospace took place. For the first time the meeting was hosted by Seibersdorf Labor GmbH.

For many years, Seibersdorf Labor GmbH has been very successful with space projects, focusing on research and development in the field of cosmic radiation and its influence on humans, technology and materials.

Austrospace is the association of the Austrian space industry and research facilities and represents the interests of the Austrian manufacturers and users of space technology against the public authorities and international organizations.

Since the ESA accession of Austria (1987), local companies and research facilities have established themselves with the development and manufacture of components, devices, sub-systems and services in the area of space technology.
