On 18./19.9.2017 the international workshop SEPRAD took place in Seibersdorf. SEPRAD stands for “Forecasting of Solar Energetic Particle Radiation Effects“.
20 international experts discussed the topics “Nowcast of radiation effects on aviation” and “Forecast of Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) effects”.

The workshop was organized by our expert group Radiation Hardness Assurance/Space Weather (Head Dr. Peter Beck) in close collaboration with the International Foundation High Altitude Research Stations Jungfraujoch and Gornergrat (HFSJG) and supported by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Swiss Space Center and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
