On 22.1.2019 our first “up2date”-event took place: „Briefing Space Weather and Aviation Safety“.

International experts (e. g. from ESA) gave our guests an overlook of radiation effects on aviation, e. g. on communication and navigation, and also information about the New European Basic Safety Standard (BSS) on ionizing radiation and current space weather activities of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).

The briefing was organized by Dr. Peter Beck and his experts group Radiation Hardness and Space Weather.
