“30 years Austrian ESA membership” were celebrated on 9.10.2017 in Graz.
European Space Agency ESA, Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology organized the event.
Federal Minister Leichtfried and ESA Director-General Wörner took part at the ceremony as guests of honour.
Previous successes, the status quo of “Austria in space” and future trends of the European space activities were the main topics of discussion.
Dr. Peter Beck und DI Christoph Tscherne from our expert group Radiation Hardness Assurance/Space Weather presented the space activities of Seibersdorf Labor GmbH, e.g. the space dosemeter TEPC, which is operated in the ISS.
