Internal Dosimetry Exretion Analysis
We are an authorized dose measuring body for the determination of internal exposure according to §71 Radiation Protection Act (SchSchG 2020). Our internal dosimetry is accredited within the test center framework for the measurement of incorporated radionuclides using excretion analysis and for dose determination from these measurements.
Our methods include the direct measurement of beta emitters in urine (such as 3H, 14C, 32P, 33P and 125I) as well as beta measurement following chemical separation for the determination of 90Sr. Incorporation analysis of actinides (such as U, Th, Pu, Am and Cm) can be carried out from both urine and feces samples; due to the low detection limits required, chemical separation is performed in combination with alpha spectrometry. Our processes also allow several actinides to be determined simultaneously from one sample or 90Sr to be measured at the same time.
The dose is determined from the excreted activity measured, taking into account the corresponding excretion model for the identified radionuclide. This determination can be performed according to the recommendations of the ICRP, Directive 96/29/Euratom and the German guideline for physical radiation protection control for the determination of body doses (RiPhyKo2).
Our measurement methods are constantly being advanced and are regularly checked by interlaboratory tests (PROCORAD, BfS). The processes are accredited within the test center framework. We would be pleased to send you our current price list on request.
